Turbo Kickin’ For A Cause! A few new pics from the Mercy Project fundraiser I participated in last month!

The Mercy Project

The Mercy Project is a Montreal-based non-profit organization that works in collaboration with community partners to support healthcare initiatives where resources are limited.
The Mercy Project was founded by a group of Canadian volunteers who met while participating in the Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program in Northern Uganda. While in Uganda the volunteers provided support to a daycare where the children had limited access to healthcare. Profoundly affected by the experience, they created the organization in memory of a four-year-old girl named Mercy who needlessly died from malaria.

Our current project is at St Jude Children’s Home in Gulu, Uganda.

We believe in small movements that make large impacts in peoples lives. Access to healthcare is a human right and we refuse to be overwhelmed by the challenge of poverty. Within our partnering communities we focus on children so that they may have the opportunity to grow and thrive in good health.

Woot, Turbo in the house!

Great job! I get giddy whenever I see Turbo doing well!

Check her out working with Mark and Kelly above. If you’re new to Turbo, know it’s tough to learn at first, but both Kelly and Mark did incredibly well and picked it up in no time! Turbo Kick is the original Turbo Jam (and Turbo Fire), so if you get a chance to check out classes in your area, DO IT!

(This is the workout that completely got me hooked on fitness, and I still Turbo at least a few times a week (and teach). It’s addictive!)

Wanted to reply in your Ask, but got ‘URL Not Found’. :(

Oh man, I thought I was a Turbo ADDICT before. The training was INTENSE, FUN and AMAZING! I am hooked.

I had bought the Going for Gold DVD, which helped considerably, but there’s nothing like a live training. We learned the technique in a way that was more interactive (much lower & more difficult than I had initially assumed), how to cue, and more.  Plus, I got the sickest Turbo wear ever. My new slim fit capris are booty-ful. :)

Christine Dwyer was OFF THE HOOK as an instructor & teacher. I’d do another training with her any day! I pushed myself hard and then took home what I learned. What I didn’t expect was how drastically it changed my home workouts: the smallest changes in my technique have spelled huge results. I’ve been doing Turbo on and off for 6 years and have never Turbo-ed like this. The results? Lost 2 inches off my waist and an inch off my thighs in 2 weeks! All I changed was my intensity & technique. My six pack is getting ready to kick summer’s ass.

I plan on instructing, but I highly recommend the training for anyone, it really does take your workout to the next level. Well worth the investment! (plus you get awesome discounts while you’re there. Just saying. I saved at least half my registration fee on purchases, and if you’re buying Rounds you’ll save more than you’d pay online). Even the PRO training is worth it, and if you decide to stick around, it’s an easy upgrade to instructor.

I wanna know all about it when you go! If I’m able, I might see you when she hits the big O! :)

More about my training with Christine Dwyer this weekend! (in the 2 weeks since the training, I’ve been hitting my turbo hard and WOW. Hello body!)
