Body Rock TV unleashed a brand new App for iPhone today! You can download yours FREE in the App store. From what I gather, Android is coming very soon! I’ll keep you posted.

Features

  • Body Rock workouts, streamed right to your phone.
  • Ability to ‘favorite’ your workouts, and keep them saved.
  • Ability to chat with other body rockers, read comments and updates.
  • Map feature which shows you BodyRockers in your area (you’ll need to allow location services).
  • Newsfeed, including photos, video & status updates.
  • Body Rocking progress pic gallery from other users.
  • VERY COOL: You can snap a selfie with the body rock logo overlayed. (You can save to your phone or post in the community).
  • Scan QR codes to unlock exclusive content. We’ll see what that means fairly soon I guess!

Download the App here.

Zombies, Run!

This App looks amazeballs and is currently in pre-order and will be available for download and play REALLY soon. Check out the website here for more details!

Running Game & Audio Adventure

Zombies, Run! is an ultra-immersive running game for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android. We deliver the story straight to your headphones through orders and voice recordings - and back home, you can build and grow your base with the items you’ve collected.

Run Anywhere

Zombies, Run! works anywhere and at any speed. You can jog in a park, run along a beach, or walk along a trail, even on treadmills!

Keep the survivors alive

You automatically collect items like medicine, batteries, and ammo while running - but when you’re back home, who needs them more: the soldiers or the doctors? Which buildings need extra defenses? It’s up to you - and the bigger your base, the more missions you can play.

A World of Stories

Where did the zombies come from? What are the leaders of your base planning? There’s a deeper mystery to be uncovered, puzzles to be solved, websites to be discovered, documents to be viewed so you can learn the truth of what’s happened to the world.

Your Own Music

Choose your own custom playlists before you start running: the story unfolds in between your tracks through a series of dynamic radio messages and voice recordings.

Better Fitness Through Science

Zombies, Run! records the distance, time, pace, and calories burned of all your runs, and we’re planning RunKeeper integration. You can also hear audio notifications for time, distance, and pace during your run.

Where has this been all my life!? (or why didn’t I think to get one before!?)

Just ordered mine (in pink) after coming across this pretty great review. I really don’t like having my phone on me for my outdoor and gym workouts (I’m terrified of smashing it, or having it fly into other people/equipment), but since I program most of my workouts on my phone, need my music & timer, and find paper annoying, I finally bit the bullet. I’m so excited!

I’ve seen a bunch of these (there are some cheaper models too), but I liked this one because it’s really adjustable, easy to clean, has protectors for the front and back (sweat) and seems rather sturdy. There are lots of models available in store and online (some cheaper than others), so you don’t need to spend a ton. This one was about $20.

I’m nervous about doing high intensity drills, but will give it a try once I feel comfortable that it won’t fly off of me. From all accounts (and reviews) it looks pretty solid.

After watching a dude smash a dumbbell on his iPhone this week (if you’re an addict like me, it was almost as painful to watch as dropping it on a toe), those of you using fitness apps might want to invest! Just sayin’. :)

I’ll post pics when it gets here next week!
