AMAZING thing of the day: this edible office grows its own lunch.
Yeah, I know. THEY WIN. This sounds so cool!
“Tomato vines suspended over conference rooms, lemon and passion fruit trees scattered between meeting spaces, and tiny sprouts growing under benches. Best of all, these delectable flora are later harvested, prepared, and served at the building’s cafeterias.
Pasona’s nine-story, 215,000-square-foot corporate office comes with a rooftop garden, and urban farming facilities integrated within the building. The green space comprises 43,000 square feet with 200 species, including fruits, vegetables, and rice. (the main lobby has a rice paddy—and a broccoli field)”

Basic Powder: 1 cup dried green lentils, 1/3 cup brown rice, 1/3 cup steel cut oats.
Cappuccino: For each 1/3 cup of lentil/rice/oats mixture you blend in the coffee grinder, throw in 1 tablespoon of whole coffee beans and blend until a fine powder. To sweeten, add desired amount of stevia or sugar.
Chocolate: For each 1/3 cup of lentil/rice/oats mixture you blend in the coffee grinder, throw in 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder and blend until a fine powder. To sweeten, add desired amount of stevia or sugar.

Operation Pink Dumbbell Preview!
(decided since the industry won’t let me buy heavier weights in my favorite shade, I’d make my own).
They took MUCH longer to dry than my patience usually allows, and several coats. But… I think they’re awesome. SOOOO excited to have “pink” dumbbells in double digits. (They’re 15’s)
:)
Operation Pink Dumbbells
Is it just me, or the more people who tell you NOT to do something, the more you want to do it? :)
I’ve been DYING to spray paint my 15lb dumbbells pink for the longest time. The current dumbbell color spectrum has always bothered me (“girly” colors like pink & purple being given to 1-3lb weights).
The thing is, I LIKE pink. I do. But my preferred dumbbell range at home is in the teens to thirties. Sadly, black and grey are my only options there.
Somewhere along the line, the industry decided that the only pink weights they’ll make for me to buy are about as heavy as my cup of coffee.
There are a host of potential problems with this project, lol. I’m lacquering it up like crazy: those dumbbells get a lot of floor smash time and I expect they’ll wear down within a few weeks. BUT I really want to do it. And so I shall. At worst, they’ll chip, but all dumbbells do at some point. At best, they’ll make me the happiest girl in the world, lol.
I’ve gotten eye rolls, sighs and “whys’, lol. Haters gonna hate, but luckily they don’t bother me. The primer’s ON and I’ll post pics when they’re done! #operationpinkdumbbells

A Girl And A Glue Gun is one of my new favorite crafty blogs, and I’ve gotten all kinds of inspired from clicking around her site. I don’t have a lettering cutter (yet), but I do have some old stencils and a head full of ideas. This craft doesn’t require much time (you should see the amount Etching she did in just one day), but it’s a whole lot easier to do if you already have some of the materials on hand. If not, here’s a list of the items she used.

I discovered this trick last week, and wanted to share it with ya!
If you have empty laundry detergent bottles lying around, they make for fabulous makeshift weights. Because of the handles, they are also HIGHLY swingable.
Fill them with water or sand and you’ve got yourself a 5-8lb weight kettlebell supplement. The larger the bottle, the heavier the weight. Make sure the cap is screwed on tightly and try not to drop it (they aren’t as sturdy and WILL break if slammed). I recommend taping the lid shut with duct tape.
Kettlebell Exercises
Kettlebells are rather trendy these days, and with good reason: the instability adds a good amount of oomph to your regular strength routine. Though expensive, if you need a heavier weight, there are great fancy alternatives.
Try these kettlebell moves with your new weight.

Around the body pass
Hold the kettlebell with both hands in front of your torso and stand with your feet hip-width apart. Release the kettlebell into your right hand and move both arms behind your back. Grab the bell with your left hand and bring it back to the front (completing a full circle around your body). That’s one rep. Do 10, then switch directions and repeat without stopping to rest.
Quick tip: Keep your core engaged and avoid moving your hips throughout the entire move.

This one’s easy! All you need is 1-2 slices of peachy goodness. Have the rest as a snack while you make your skin nice & smooth. :)

Why It Works
Peaches are rich sources of skin-renewing alpha-hydroxy fruit acids, which get rid of dead cells, and vitamins A and C to nourish new ones. Peach juice helps unblock pores, fight blemishes and may even lighten age spots and minimize wrinkles. Its astringent, toning effects are especially effective for oily skin.
How To Make It
For a simple skin pick-me-up, cut a slice of a juicy peach and massage the flesh on your face. Leave the juice on for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Or rub the inside of the skins of a peach on your face for a few minutes at bedtime and let the juice absorb overnight.
