”Thanks so much! Body love warriors in the house!!
I’ve received awesome feedback from the post, and I hope it opens a few eyes to the dangers of wanting ‘perfection’. All bodies are beautiful, deserve respect and should be loved.
I’m a health and fitness nut, and it bothers me that we’ve started equating ‘health’ with six packs, thigh gaps and skinny jeans. Health is about how efficient your body is at doing it’s job: not what it looks like. And the desire to look like a fitness model, though seemingly preferable to the super skinny models we’re used to, is still reaching towards an unrealistic goal… Unless you happen to have the genes, discipline, trainers and a body that can handle that kind of intense state, you won’t look like her. Or him. Even the best models out there don’t look like that year round and are photoshopped, cropped, angled to look a certain way. :)
Thanks for your feedback! I love hearing from you guys!
