Talking Crossfit: “What’s A Pood?”

In a world of snatches, jerks and pulls, “pood” is a term that gets the most giggles from beginners. Let’s demystify it for you: it’s not as dirty as it sounds!

A ‘pood’ is a russian measurement: primarily used for kettlebells.

Common ones:

1 pood =36 lbs
1.5 pood = 54 lbs
2 pood = 72 lbs

If using dumbbells for a workout that calls for poods, simply round down or up (36=35, 54=55 etc).

Now you know! :)

(how CUTE is this Halloween costume, lol!)
