Remember that your workouts are designed to enhance your life… Not BE your life! If you’re spending more time in the gym than with friends, family and others who love you, it might be time to cut back.
Boost intensity, utilize your time better, move more during the day and play when you can! There are lots of ways to cut down on gym time without sacrificing results.
Exercise addiction falls on a scale: you don’t need to be completely obsessed in order to have some of the symptoms. If you find yourself feeling anxious or overly guilty for missing a workout, workout everyday, and consistently spend 1-2 hours in the gym each session? You may be sabotaging your efforts and missing out on other fun life things.
While your workouts should be a priority, make sure they’re not taking over! Having a fit body is no use if you can’t use it to play more, laugh more and do more.
