Today’s Mantra: I use both my strengths and weaknesses to my advantage.

We tend to gravitate towards what we’re good at (what we can handle easily) and avoid things we’re not good at (that are difficult OR new for us). But, you need a little of both to get your inner & outer bad ass in gear. Acknowledge your strengths & weaknesses, then use them to your advantage.

Focus on your STRENGTHS for an instant confidence boost. If you’re feeling ‘meh’, but are great at swimming, then swim. Or run. Or dance: your choice. You’ll feel good about yourself, even if you take it easy.

Focus on your WEAKNESSES to raise your fitness level. If you can run, but are a weak sprinter, you need to add sprints! If you suck at pushups, focus on pushups for a bit. If you’d like to be better at yoga, then… do yoga. Everyday.

You’ll notice a boost in your fitness level every time you step out of your comfort zone, but you also need reminders that you’re good at something to keep motivation high! Mix it up from workout to workout, and watch as some of your ‘weaknesses’ strut on over to the ‘strengths’ column. Or sprint there, in style. :)
