Today’s Mantra. Self-love starts with YOU. 
Isn’t it funny how we tend to demand unconditional love from everyone else but ourselves? 
Setting conditions on our self-love: “I’ll love myself when, if, only, etc.” That’s not unconditional. Sure, we make mistakes and we might want to improve & better ourselves, but the foundation for unconditional love means we love ourselves no matter what. 
When we engage the self-hate, we act, make decisions and entertain beliefs that support the notion that we are not good enough. We starve ourselves, because our bodies aren’t good enough. We belittle ourselves because we feel small. We limit ourselves because we don’t believe we deserve more. We reduce ourselves and compare ourselves to others. We only “see” evidence that supports the notion that we are ‘less than’. It’s distorted thinking: we acknowledge and believe things about ourselves that mirror how we feel on the inside. 
Changing how you feel about you, and how you treat yourself, can go a long way in terms of opening up all the other positive viewpoints that exist beyond your bubble. People love you. People see things in you that you don’t see. You are more capable, important, beautiful and powerful than you know. 
It’s okay to want to acknowledge your faults & weaknesses, but it’s also necessary to love yourself in spite of them. You are a unique human being, with lots to offer and special talents that are yet to be revealed.
Focus on your strengths and what you LOVE about the gorgeous being that is YOU. Focusing on the negative merely reinforces the idea that you aren’t good enough: which is a LIE.
